The aim of the concept was to comprehensively plan a network of cycling routes between Ivano-Frankivsk and Halych to promote cycling as such, leading to economic benefits for local communities, minimizing the negative impact of recreation on the environment and climate, and strengthening public health.

 

The objectives of the concept were:

1. determine the scheme of laying future routes, their typology, technical and economic indicators

2. to offer technical solutions for the organization of safe cycling along the H-09 highway

3. formulate requirements for the arrangement of routes depending on the types

4. determine a plan for the implementation of the concept, including the expected cost of infrastructure investment
