The Irpin community is one of the most affected communities as a result of the full-scale invasion of Russia against Ukraine. Many infrastructure facilities were destroyed or damaged.
The goal of the project is to help the community restore transport infrastructure and implement measures to improve mobility, using the best modern practices in the field of sustainable urban mobility.
The strategy was prepared as part of the Irpin reconstruction summit project
Irpin reconstruction summit - the first systematic project in Ukraine during the war between Russia and Ukraine, organized by volunteers, aimed at the systematic sustainable reconstruction of Ukrainian cities, now the city of Irpin and the community.
The scope of services includes:

drafting and carrying out a mobility survey

Analysis of strategic documents of the community and cities of the agglomeration

Field surveys of the street-road network

holding meetings involving the community

a description of the world's best practices in the field of sustainable mobility development

development of strategic measures and recommendations for further development in the field of planning street and road networks, pedestrian and bicycle traffic, public transport and traffic safety
The text of the strategy will soon be published on the official website of the Irpin City Council after its official adoption.
